About the Group

Touch of Grace is an Oroville, Washington-based English handbell choir established in 2002. In the beginning "Grace" didn't have bells.  The music was first created on a set of bell plates, borrowed from a near-by church.

The first octave of English handbells was purchased in 2004, as a memorial for Imogene Chapman.  The congregation of the Oroville Free Methodist Church quickly grew to love the sound of the bells in their services.  Donations soon added up and the second octave was purchased only one year later. By 2007 Touch of Grace had their third octave in hand.

The group consists of 12 members who meet weekly to hone their skills.  Although the craft requires a huge amount of work and concentration, members of Touch of Grace have time for fun every time they get together as well.

The group performs several times throughout the year at various churches in the valley, weddings and other public events.

Being able to share their love of their instrument and music, and to minister to every ear touched is the goal of this group.
